The rules are simple, please play by them
NTCAT is not a court; it acts with as little formality and technicality as possible and adopts procedures that are suited to the nature of a dispute, the complexity of the issues involved and the circumstances of the parties.
Although NTCAT proceedings are much less formal than court proceedings, parties should understand that NTCAT is a busy tribunal, dealing with hundreds of active matters at any one time. It is very important – if NTCAT is to do its job effectively – for parties to respect the orders, rules and procedures that apply to their case.
